Kamahinaohoku4.0 out of 5 starsBIG book!December 13, 2017This is an amazingly huge book, alphabetical listings, 477 pages long, and it weighs 8 pounds. The photographs are very good, and there’s information on each country (but not as much as I would like, as each country only has 2 pages each). This is definitely a book for a library, or on a desk. It’s a good starter to see what countries are, but you’ll need more information if you want to visit them.

Kevan Sano-O’Brien5.0 out of 5 starsTravel inspiration and visual record of my trips.March 21, 2017Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseI was given this book as a gift several years ago and I absolutely love it. Every time I travel I write an entry in the book on the page of the country I visited. My goal is to visit all seven continents and as many countries as I can. When looking for ideas for my next vacation, I look at the book for inspiration. I bought this book recently for my daughter who is on a Rotary Youth Exchange Program and has just begun what will probably be a lifetime of travel and adventure. I know she will love her copy as much as I love my copy.

Catwell5.0 out of 5 starsBest gift ever for a want to be traveler and looks great on your coffee tableJuly 8, 2017Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseI love this book! It is a beautiful book with beautiful pictures and nice tips. It is not overwhelming and it looks great on the coffee table 🙂 I gave one to my 18 year old niece who wants to travel Europe and South America and she absolutely loved it. Said it was her favorite Christmas gift and that even includes the electronics that she received:-)4 people found this helpful.

vanitys4.0 out of 5 starsbut it is still a beautiful image bookApril 20, 2017Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseVery well made book, but is more of a coffee table book than an actual resource book. The images take up 70% of the page, with the remaining 30% giving very brief descriptors of what to do in each country. Not exactly what I was looking for, but it is still a beautiful image book.

Corinne5.0 out of 5 starsIt’s an excellent snapshot of every country in the worldJanuary 7, 2017Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseI have been using this book as a guide for a home school project where we have a mini lesson on every country in the world. It’s an excellent snapshot of every country in the world.

Amazon Customer5.0 out of 5 starsHighly Recommend!January 13, 2019Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseBlew me away! Heavy, well made with huge beautiful photos and great content on each country – including what to read and watch to understand it better. This is a book we’ll have in our home for years to come and we’re so happy with the purchase!

JDB1.0 out of 5 starsDo not buy for the Kindle as it is too hard to read on Kindle or iPhoneJune 12, 2018I have long been a fan of The Lonely Planet guidebooks, but they should not market this book for the Kindle. It is not formatted properly for the Kindle or the app on my iPhone. As it is now, this book is impossible to read. I have looked for a way to return the product or contact the sellers but without any luck.

Amazon Customer2.0 out of 5 starsDifficult to read print and few facts: Funk was betterJanuary 2, 2019Format: HardcoverVerified PurchasePoorly researched.

Amazon Customer1.0 out of 5 starsDon’t bother with kindle edition.December 19, 2018Format: Kindle EditionThe font is SO SMALL that it can’t be read even at full screen on a decent sized laptop. It has no zoom feature, so I was unable to use it. Disappointing, I was looking forward to the read…

Roger Morrison2.0 out of 5 starsThe limited text naively promotes myths and stereotypes (particularly of Australia) and the photos tend to ignore the best known landmarksAugust 24, 2017Format: HardcoverA very disappointing book. The limited text naively promotes myths and stereotypes (particularly of Australia) and the photos tend to ignore the best known landmarks, overly focusing on portraits of female inhabitants.

Harrison1.0 out of 5 starsBoring bookNovember 1, 2018Format: Kindle EditionDon’t waste time with this book.

NYC MOM1.0 out of 5 starsOne StarNovember 27, 2017Format: HardcoverFactually inaccurate on many levels. For example, Palestine is not a country, Lonely Planet includes it as one.
