Below are required ingredients for Besan Ki Masala Roti

4 Cup Gram Flour / Chickpea Flour { Besan }

8 Tbsp Clarified Butter + Few extra for shallow frying

1/8 Cup Wholewheat Flour

Salt as need



Below are all required filling ingredients for Besan Ki Masala Roti.

6 Tsp Cumin Powder

1/8 Tsp Red Chilli Powder

6 Tbsp Clarified Butter

1/8 Tsp Coriander Powder

2 Tsp Turmeric Powder

4-5 Green Chilli Chopped

Salt as need

1/8 Tsp Dried Mango Powder


Besan Ki Masala Roti preparations steps are as below.

We need a bowl to combine Salt, Dried Mango Powder, Chilli, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Cumin Powder & Clarified Butter then set aside. Now you need to combine Gramflour, Wholewheat Flour,Salt, Clarified Butter.

Use sufficient water for making soft dough then divide it into 32 equal portions. Shape each portion into ball then roll out each ball into 4″ disc & place 1/8 to 1/12 of the masala filling on it. Fold & roll out into any shape. Now you need to heat griddle / pan. Fry each bread with few Clarified Butter till both sides are golden brown. Spread a few Clarified Butter on the bread. Press it gently between your palms. It is now ready to eat or serve.

Clarified butter has a higher smoke point than regular butter,and is therefore preferred in some cooking applications, such as sautéing. Clarified butter also has a much longer shelf life than fresh butter.
